Topic Proposal: My paper will be based on Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. I think the book where Montag makes fires instead of puts out fires should be a book that is not banned because it is a person’s judgment on the book and the judgment changes and varies. In the book ray Bradbury uses two literary elements, symbolism and internal conflict. Symbolism through the salamander and how it can not die in fire and internal conflict through how Montag doesn’t know what he should do throughout the book and is in a problem with himself and what he thinks he should do. The book uses the words “god damn” and “hell” in the book which could cause people to want the book to be banned for religious reasons or just a opinion on the choice of words ray Bradbury chose to use. Although in the end it should be a matter of opinion for banning this book throughout the areas that the book is in, just because it is banned in one place doesn’t mean it should be banned in another place or everywhere else.
Thesis statement: Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury should not be banned in Scotia Glenville High School Library Media Center.

Some others have reviewed the book as a book that could be taken to highly offensive but overall a great book and very succesful / award winning book. the book shows a great meaning of life and the values of life that we have in tiodays world and what it would be like without law enforcers or a government. (challenging destiny).
